Widespread Panic
Walnut Creek Amphitheater
Raleigh, NC
April 29, 2000 (Sat)

This show is pure greatness. If you were there, you know. The annual Raleigh monsoon came in about 5:00 and it poured up until showtime… and I mean POURED. The result was a severe temperature drop, and a crowd that was SO ready to rock. The band delivered in spades. The ride from Statesboro the night before was ROUGH, but when we got there, EVERYONE was there. We owned the first 5 rows. I swear to this day that my friend G-Fine told me before the show that the band was going to play “Riders On The Storm” at which I laughed. When JB went into the “Riders” rap in “Hatfield”, it was one of the cosmic moments of all time for me. This is Panic at the peak of its powers. Enjoy.

Notes: This was orginally seeded with SBE’s from d1t8 through d3t6. The source also contained a hiss and some volume changes. I ran all the files through Sound Forge 7.0, cutting the frequencies above 5kHz by 40dB. I them adjusted the volume by a couple db in several spots through out the show. I then ran the files through shntool. Here is the resulting lineage: wav > Sound Forge 7.0 > Shntool v2.0.0 > FLAC(level 6) By: Patrick Wood
